Patricia Cardona
Patricia is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and New Jersey, as well as in El Salvador. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
In 2010, she earned her law degree (LL.B.) from Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado in El Salvador. During her time there, she served in the Public Defender’s Office in La Libertad, where she advocated on behalf of victims of domestic violence.
After relocating to the United States, Patricia served as Chief of the Legal Department at the Consulate General of El Salvador for the States of New Jersey and Delaware from 2014 to 2016. In that role, she focused primarily on private international law, property law, family law, and consular authorizations, while also supporting humanitarian initiatives in collaboration with the United States Department of Homeland Security.
In 2020, Patricia obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the College of Law at Syracuse University. During law school, she served as President of the Latin American Law Students Association and President of the OUTLAW Law Students Association. She also participated in the Bankruptcy Clinic, where she provided legal assistance to members of the community. In addition, she interned with Hiscock Legal Aid Society, gaining experience in landlord-tenant matters, and with the Law Offices of Jose Perez, Esq., focusing on immigration law.
In 2022, Patricia founded CLF, where she focuses primarily on immigration law, including but not limited to removal proceedings, humanitarian relief, asylum applications, bond hearings, and custody proceedings. Through her practice, she represents individuals and families navigating complex immigration matters and advocates zealously on their behalf. In addition to immigration law, she also practices family law and represents clients in municipal court matters.
Patricia currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Torts at Essex County Community College in Newark, New Jersey. She previously earned her associate degree in Paralegal Studies from the same institution in 2013.
Patricia was a member of El Salvador Soccer Women National Team from 2002 - 2010.
